Hey Everyone,

I have finally posted the last of my photos from the last 4 weeks of my NZ trip.

I am still in Atlanta planning my next 8 month journey through India/Nepal, SE ASIA, and China. I wanted to leave by now but am having an insurance issue with Coca-Cola who cancelled my coverage during my previous trip. Hopefully it will be settled soon.

As I will be setting up temporary e-mail accounts in the different countries, please just continue to use the following GA TECH e-mail and it will forward to my current account. It is a permanent one. mhopkins.esm90@gtalumni.org

In other news, I have just spent time catching up with friends in Washington, DC and Austin, TX. While in DC, my good friend Dennis managed to get us a private behind the scenes tour of the White House though an Agent friend of his. Not only did we get to see the Oval Office and Rose Garden but while we were in the basement, President Clinton happened to walk by and said HELLO. What perfect timing! Then it was up to the White House Briefing room where we I got a picture taken at a sight most of you are probably aware of. (See attached picture.) Though we looked hard (no pun intended) we didn't manage to see Monica Lewinski. While in the kitchen, I managed to secure myself a bottle of Champagne complete with the Presidential seal on the label. Don't know when I will be drinking that anytime soon.

Well that is it for this time. Short and sweet. Would also love to know what you are currently up to, so write a small note if you can.

All the best, MIKE
My Christmas Greeting To You

Please accept with no obligation, implied or implicit, my best wishes for an environmentally conscious, socially responsible, low stress, non-addictive, gender neutral, celebration of the winter solstice holiday, practiced within the most enjoyable traditions of the religious persuasion of your choice, or secular practices of your choice, with respect of the religious/secular persuasions and/or traditions of others, or their choice not to practice religious or secular traditions at all.

And a fiscally successful, personally fulfilling, and medically uncomplicated recognition of the onset of the generally accepted calendar year 2001, but not without due respect for the calendars of choice of other cultures whose contributions to society have helped make America great, (not to imply that America is necessarily greater than any other country or is the only "America" in the western hemisphere), and without regard to the race, creed, color, age, physical ability, religious faith, choice of computer platform, or sexual preference of the wishee.

(By accepting this greeting you are accepting these terms. This greeting is subject to clarification or withdrawal. It is freely transferable with no alteration to the original greeting. It implies no promise by the wisher to actually implement any of the wishes for himself or others, and is void where prohibited by law, and is revocable at the sole discretion of the wisher. This wish is warranted to perform as expected within the usual application of good tidings for a period of one year, or until the issuance of a subsequent holiday greeting, whichever comes first, and warranty is limited to replacement of this wish or issuance of a new wish at the sole discretion of the wisher).
